Directed by double BAFTA-nominated directors David and Jacqui Morris (McCullin, Attacking the Devil), the feature documentary Nureyev traces the extraordinary life of dance icon Rudolf Nureyev. From his birth in the fifth-class carriage of a trans-Siberian train, to his dramatic defection to the West at the height of the Cold War, to his legendary partnership with Margot Fonteyn, his meteoric rise to global cultural phenomenon, and his untimely death in the AIDS crisis, his life plays out like the plot of a classic Russian novel.

The film blends never-before-seen archive footage with specially commissioned dance sequences choreographed by Royal Ballet alumnus Russell Maliphant. It was released theatrically by Universal Pictures.
