Synopsis

When her parents announce an imminent split custody separation, Yakira, the oldest daughter in a broken family, kidnaps her estranged younger sister, Kelly, and takes to the road in an attempt to reconnect before they are forced apart. Exploring themes of separation and loss, the dreamlike story takes place over a weekend in the lives of two step-sisters whose relationship is being tested to its limit.

Written and directed by Ed, the film stars Ruby Barker (Bridgerton) as Yakira and Lily-Rose Aslandogdu (The Essex Serpent, The Alienist) as Kelly. It includes original music by Ibeyi‍ and cinematography by Ivan Bird (Sexy Beast). The film was made in collaboration with Rattling Stick and XL Recordings and garnered 23 official selections at international festivals, winning Best Feature at Aesthetica, Magnolia, and the British Urban Film Festival.

It was released on Apple TV.
