What’s Emerged

Squid was born in DeFi crypto, but DeFi’s no longer the whole story. To become a full-stack platform legible to mainstream finance, and culture, it needed to find what it was really about, and build the clarity, confidence, and story out from there.

Craving Wholeness

Sitting behind the scenes of everything is a single animating idea, we live in a fragmented world that craves wholeness. It's a craving you feel before you can name it, the pull toward connection in a reality coming apart. Everything Squid is, and everything it makes, is a way of staying in relationship with that one restless truth.

Squid Makes it Whole

The belief the brand acts on. Squid connects chains, assets, liquidity, users, and cultures, because what connects becomes more powerful than what stands alone.

The creative platform that brings it to life. True at every level, from the infrastructure to the interface to the culture around it.

Magnetic Simplicity

How Squid creates value, turning the fragmentation and complexity of crypto into tools that aren't just simple, but retain the culture, joy, and play that makes crypto exciting. Attract through culture and play, release through clarity and usefulness, unburdening the user and delivering a cheeky dopamine hit when pain is turned into progress.

Crypto as Entertainment

Crypto is entertainment for its participants. Not just the making money bit, but the culture around it. With this in mind, I developed deep lore for Squid’s mascot, Squib.

“Squidia”

Squidia is the mythic substrate energy of digital value itself, relentlessly driven toward connection, and felt through everything Squid builds.

The mascot is Squidia made conscious.
