Creativeland Asia
Creativeland Asia is a pioneering brand, media, and entertainment company, headquartered in Mumbai, and founded by creative entrepreneur Sajan Raj Kurup. This partnership started with excitable creative-riffs that became a friendship that’s lasted fifteen years and crossed continents, cultures, and disciplines.
My role
Part creative collaborator, part strategic sounding board, part connector, but essentially, the pointless walls between those things have collapsed.
How it started
We first collaborated on the Spike, Goafest, Campaign Media triple Grand Prix–winning, Audi Advanced State of Mind campaign, the world's first fully stereoscopic 3D campaign across all deliverables (film, mobile, web, print, event).
What we’ve made
I helped Raj crystallise the mission at the heart of Creativeland.
To unlock the human creative potential.
I’ve since helped him realise it through story, experience, and business. That’s meant leading research and strategic thinking for new ventures, for example, Equal House, a more humanistic members' club in India, consulting with the editorial team following Raj's acquisition of Rolling Stone India, now a major cultural force, inputting on projects for brands such as Pininfarina, Jio, and others, and making strategic London / US introductions that opened new territory for Raj.
What we’re doing now
Current collaboration spans Creativeland Studios and ongoing advisory across Krishnavataram, Raj's epic three-part film trilogy about Lord Krishna, directed by Hardik Gajjar, with a global theatrical release in 2026. A fascinating intersection of ancient mythology, contemporary epic cinema, and realworld devotion.
I also sit on the global advisory board of Creatorland Asia, India’s first transmedia entertainment city in Andhra Pradesh, bringing together gaming, film, AI, music, brands, and education to reimagine Indian creativity and train the next generation of creators.
It's super fun.
